Follow our fight for rent control by tracking our campaign timeline below:

• Now-April: Time to put pressure on the State legislature to pass rent control legislation in the State House, and time to prepare for the next phases of the ballot campaign (which will be a second round of signature collection, and mass voter outreach)! 

• We are continuing to push at the State House for legislation at the same time as the ballot campaign – because the legislature still has time to pass legislation for rent control. Two different routes for winning rent control, and we’re pushing both at the same time!

• May-June: Second round of signature collection and continued pressure on the legislature to pass rent control legislation.

• July-November 3: Mass voter outreach.

• November 3, 2026: Election Day! If we are on the ballot, this is when voters across Massachusetts will vote on passing statewide rent control.
